Terms of Service

Not affiliated with the FAA. ClimbSpeed is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or any government agency. Content is provided for educational purposes only and should not be used as the sole source for operational decisions.

1. Nature of the Service

ClimbSpeed is an educational tool designed to help users study and review aviation-related concepts, regulations, and training material. The Service includes both free and paid subscription tiers.

ClimbSpeed includes interactive features such as conversational responses, multiple-choice quizzes, free-response grading, and adaptive study tools intended to support learning and self-assessment.

2. Educational Use Only

ClimbSpeed is provided for educational and informational purposes only.

It is not a substitute for:

  • Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) instruction
  • Official FAA publications
  • Your aircraft's Airplane Flight Manual (AFM) or Pilot's Operating Handbook (POH)

3. Not for Operational or Safety Decisions

You must not use ClimbSpeed to:

  • Make go/no-go flight decisions
  • Assess real-time weather conditions
  • Determine aircraft performance or limitations
  • Determine personal medical fitness to fly
  • Support in-flight or operational decision-making

All aviation decisions must be made using official, current sources and appropriate professional judgment.

4. AI-Generated Content and Accuracy

Responses and quiz content generated by ClimbSpeed are produced by automated systems and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.

Aviation regulations and procedures change frequently. You are responsible for verifying all information against current official sources, including FAR/AIM, Advisory Circulars, and other FAA publications.

5. Use at Your Own Risk

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • You assume full responsibility for how you interpret and use information provided by ClimbSpeed
  • ClimbSpeed and its operator are not liable for any damages, losses, injuries, or consequences arising from use of the Service

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

6. Acceptance of These Terms

By accessing or using ClimbSpeed, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.

7. Subscriptions and Billing

ClimbSpeed offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe, a third-party payment processor.

  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Your access continues through the end of your current billing period with no additional charges.
  • Plan changes: You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Data retention: Your quiz history, chat history, and progress data are retained regardless of plan changes. Downgrading limits weekly usage but does not delete data.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service as the Service evolves. Continued use of ClimbSpeed after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
